Michael Baldovino has experience with public sector and non-profit organizations, leading or contributing to projects in organizational development, change management, and leadership and team development.
He is adept at assessing organizational needs, with a particular emphasis on coaching and building robust and supportive peer networks. Michael’s educational background features both Psychology and Organizational Psychology, enabling him to quickly connect the needs and motivations of individuals with those of organizations.
As a certified practitioner of Prosci ADKAR change management methodologies, Michael recognizes that effective change management means first building a desire for change, then sustaining it with well-crafted tools and resources.

In a recent project for Seattle City Light, Michael helped facilitate the change management portion of the utility’s $94 million Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) program. Michael helped transition impacted employees of the project from jobs being replaced by automation into new roles. He performed a skills gap analysis then organized and executed workshops to address the gaps. Michael also created and distributed an interests and needs survey, achieving nearly 100% participation across its target audience. Michael also worked closely with internal communications staff, building a project communications plan and materials to disseminate project messages throughout the organization.
At Ladybug House, a non-profit organization based in Seattle for children and young adults with life-limiting illnesses, Michael and his team provided Organizational Development and Leadership and Team Development consulting services. Their intervention enabled this small non-profit to achieve more efficient meetings and increased motivation in its volunteer community.
Education and Interests:
Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Health Administration and Policy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He is pursuing a Master’s of Arts degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, with anticipated completion in 2018. Michael is certified in the Prosci / ADKAR Change Management methodology.
Michael originates from the island of Oahu in Hawaii and enjoys hiking the trails of the Pacific Northwest, eating the diverse culinary wonders of Seattle, and spending time with friends and family.
