At Interstate Batteries Jyoti was charged with leading a migration from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. Three unsuccessful iterations of this project had been done prior to Jyoti’s engagement. Jyoti focused on first clarifying the business requirements then working closely with the client to ensure the project plan would deliver the desired outcomes. The customer was delighted with the final result, particularly after so many previous false starts. A customer testimonial stated: “With Jyoti at the lead of the project this time, our SharePoint environment has never been this clean or this fast.”
Dallas, TX-based Fiesta Restaurant Group owns, operates and franchises the fast, casual restaurant brands Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana across the south and southwestern US and the Caribbean. Jyoti was engaged as the chief SharePoint Architect to design and build a corporate intranet portal for the restaurant group, incorporating business intelligence and content management into the end solution. As the project lead from the very start, Jyoti took the project from concept to full rollout within a year, working closely with the client to ensure the team could meet the aggressive development and deployment schedule. The client particularly cited Jyoti’s strong communication skills as a key success factor in the project, letting her collect requirements directly from the business owners and quickly integrate them into the solution.
