SEATTLE, Wash., July 2021 – Washington’s Lottery has selected Onit Management Consulting to manage its installation of debit card readers in more than 1,900 self-service lottery vending machines at retail locations across the state. Working closely with the selected hardware vendor, Onit will provide expert Project Management and Organizational Change Management (OCM) resources as new payment hardware is installed in machines statewide. While Onit has successfully performed projects for other State of Washington agencies, this is the first time it has won the Lottery!
ABOUT WASHINGTON’S LOTTERY
Washington’s Lottery is run by the State of Washington, with games including Mega Millions, Powerball, Keno, Lotto, Hit 5, Match 4, Daily Game, and scratch games. The Lottery generates revenue for the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account (WOPA), which includes programs such as the Washington College Grant (formerly known as the State Need Grant), the College Bound Scholarship program, the State Work Study program and Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program. After WOPA needs are met, remaining Lottery money goes to the Economic Development Reserve Account, the Problem Gambling Account, and the Stadium and Exhibition Center.
