Edward Byers, PMP, SSGB, has a 25-year background in technology project delivery and program management for both start-up and mature enterprises. His experience includes engagements in the healthcare, utility, retail, financial services and wireless industries for organizations located both domestically and internationally.
Edward is a strong believer in and advocate for the “Simple Is Better” practical approach to project management, with a focus on planning, risk management and execution as the keys to success. He has combined this philosophy with his passion for customer-centric excellence to both revamp and build Project Management Offices on multiple occasions, as well to successfully deliver “at-risk” multi-million dollar capital programs in Africa, Europe, and Asia-Pacific as well as engagements for multiple clients in the US and Canada.

EDUCATION AND INTERESTS:
He holds an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from the Illinois Institute of Technology, is a graduate of the Master’s Program in Project Management at Villanova University, and is both PMP and Six-Sigma Certified.
Edward is the father of a precocious “tweenage” son, and in addition to a long-term interest in travel and golf, has taken up a new interest in sailing since moving to the Seattle area. He also volunteers in a PMI-sponsored Project Management Mentorship program supporting graduate students at the University Of Washington Foster School Of Business.
