SAMPLE PROJECTS:

A recent Sound Transit project saw April coordinate and lead the development of high quality e-Learning training programs for multiple departments, including Safety, Records Management, Quality, Procurement Integrity, Information Security, and Communications. April’s scope included adapting classroom-based instructor-led training courses from each department into self-paced e-Learning deliverables – a challenge made complicated in some cases where little documentation existed for the original instructor-led course. April worked closely with business leaders and training specialists for each of the six projects, which ran concurrently and involved managing geographically dispersed team members. April established an efficient document sharing process, detailed project plan, on-going status report updates, a thorough review process, project organization and strong communication throughout each of the six projects.

At the City of Seattle April served as the Lead Senior Business Analyst launching a Member Self-Service Pension Portal for the Seattle City Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS). She drove portal design decisions to improve efficiency, overcome problems and meet the city’s business objectives for member self-service, while managing the deployment and testing to include a review of reported defects. April collaborated with the City’s Cyber Security consultant to ensure proper security controls including multi-factor authentication (MFA), and used e-Forms to automate key business processes. She developed use cases, test plans and test scripts; drafted portal verbiage, landing page text and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs); and managed client communication for a smooth rollout of the project.
