ONIT HELPS TACOMA POWER MAP NEW GIS PATH

SEATTLE, Wash., May 2022 – Tacoma Power has engaged Onit Management Consulting to provide Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Business Process Mapping consulting for Tacoma’s implementation of a new GIS mapping platform. This project is part of Tacoma Power’s grid modernization strategy to improve its internal operations and provide added customer service by replacing its legacy GIS application with the Esri platform. Working closely with the Tacoma Power project team and with its system integrator, the Onit team is mapping Tacoma Power’s business processes, and performing a gap analysis and change assessment. The team is also building a strategic OCM plan, and executing communications and outreach activities to ensure Tacoma Power staff can adopt their new mapping software with minimal disruption. Having worked previously with Puget Sound Energy, Seattle City Light, Southern Cal Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric and other leading utilities, Onit is confident its team brings a wealth of utility industry experience to the project. Thanks Tacoma Power – we’re thrilled to be charting this journey with you.
