SAMPLE PROJECTS:

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is a major supplier of gas and electricity services to residents and businesses in the Puget Sound area. Boris provided project management services for the Process Improvement team, successfully re-invigorating and completing multiple projects which had previously been sidelined. He also conducted process analysis and integration risk analysis for an internally developed software platform which is intended to become the foundational framework for current and future systems within PSE. This included analysis of current state process maps, and work with the SysOps team to identify improvement opportunities. He also developed future state process maps to highlight the integration path for other systems – a process that identified high impact risks to the project which were previously unknown to the team. Additionally, Boris worked with the OCM team on PSE’s new Integrated Work Management platform, which necessitated significant changes in field crew processes and acclimation to unfamiliar tools. On that project Boris helped create support documentation for Super Users, created training material, and crafted emergency communiques for the pre-deployment and HyperCare cycle.

At Boeing, Boris led high impact projects, including a 787-manufacturing floor redesign which helped the program increase production to 10 airplanes per week. Boris was also the driving force behind implementation of Empl0yee Engagement teams across multiple businesses at Boeing. This ushered in a new era of business management practices, allowing for bottom-up communication and management together with the traditional top-down strategy. Boris spent time as a coach and trainer, teaching Continuous Improvement Strategies to 5,000+ employees.

As the project lead for a transportation project, Boris used the Scrum methodology to oversee the implementation of maritime navigation GIS software to allow for location-based taxation of Mississippi River barge transports.  Boris defined customer requirements and translated them into project deliverables for internal developers, then managed a series of beta deployments to select customers for testing. The solution used GIS maps and GPS coordinates to automate a traditionally cumbersome manual process of recording tax regions during transportation.
