SAMPLE PROJECTS:

A recent Puget Sound Energy project saw Jeff embedded with the Customer and System Projects (C&SP) team as a process specialist to analyze the future state requirements for the design of a new knowledge portal.  This project required aligning the gas and electric project managers on the construction standards in the different operating areas.  Once the standards were established, Jeff worked with the team to develop operating procedures and training material for the key activities (i.e. system design, permitting, planning, and construction).  Jeff was able to develop clear expectations for training development and facilitated the development of a user-friendly portal to access the information.  Jeff then worked with the Operational Training and Organization Change Management groups to ensure a successful deployment.

Jeff was engaged by an investment group to create a spin off company from McGill University.  This project involved interacting with the University’s Office of Technology Transfer to negotiate a technology licensing agreement for a novel biotech product.  Jeff interacted with various R&D departments at the University and secured an agreement for royalty payments to the University.  Jeff subsequently managed the spin off company and successfully registered the product with Health Canada and had it distributed by Home Depot.

At Cascade Tissue Group Jeff was responsible for operations of a manufacturing facility.  As plant manager, Jeff was tasked with managing multiple capital projects.  These projects required project management oversight and ongoing alignment with the site’s operational strategy.  Jeff ensured that the capital projects were implemented safely, on time and on budget.  In addition, Jeff leveraged his experience to ensure that the outcomes of the projects focused on the end users.  Construction designs and training programs were tailored to fully support the operators and maintainers of the new equipment.
